Stroke Rehabilitation in Thailand for UAE Patients
Sanpiti provides hospital-based inpatient stroke rehabilitation for patients who have finished acute stroke treatment and are medically stable. Families from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the wider UAE work with one dedicated international coordinator from the first case review to online follow-up after returning home. Arabic-speaking coordination, halal meals and prayer-time scheduling are available; availability and clinical suitability are confirmed before travel.
Admission and safety
Sanpiti provides rehabilitation after acute stroke treatment, not emergency stroke treatment. Admission requires medical stability, fitness to travel confirmed by the treating hospital and an individual pre-admission assessment. New or sudden stroke symptoms require emergency medical care.
From ฿65,900/month. Physician fees and physical therapy fees are not included and are billed separately after assessment. This starting rate does not include 2–3 daily therapy sessions or daily physician examinations.
Post-acute rehabilitation, not emergency stroke care
This programme is for patients who have already been treated for a stroke in hospital and are medically stable. Rehabilitation then focuses on function: walking and balance, arm use, daily living, swallowing and communication, assessed individually.
If a new stroke is happening now, call emergency services in your country. A rehabilitation centre cannot admit an unstable patient, and no page or quotation replaces an emergency diagnosis.
Why Gulf families consider Thailand for rehabilitation Inpatient stroke rehabilitation explainedTravelling from the UAE
Direct flights connect Dubai and Abu Dhabi with Bangkok; flying time is approximately six hours. Jin Wellbeing in Rangsit is approximately 25–30 minutes from Don Mueang (DMK), depending on traffic and arrangements.
Airport pickup from DMK or Suvarnabhumi (BKK) can be arranged for an additional fee. A private ambulance with medical staff can be arranged when clinically appropriate, quoted per case after the medical team and transport provider agree the level of support. An ordinary airport car is not suitable for a patient who needs oxygen, suction or assisted transfers.
Flying fitness is a medical decision. Ask the treating physician about fitness to fly, wheelchair assistance and medical equipment before booking travel.
Admission steps and documentsCase review and a written plan before you fly
Send the discharge summary, medication list, available CT/MRI reports and details of mobility, swallowing, feeding tubes and nursing needs through the channel agreed with your coordinator. Do not upload medical records to the initial enquiry form.
A rehabilitation physician reviews the case, with a response within 24 hours. Case review and the written itemised quotation are free; acceptance and the treatment plan depend on medical stability, records and clinical assessment. A free medical visa support letter can be prepared on request — it does not guarantee visa approval.

Non-Thai passengers entering Thailand through immigration generally need a Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), submitted free of charge on the official Immigration Bureau website within three days before arrival. The TDAC is not a visa.
Visa requirements depend on each traveller’s nationality, passport and intended stay, including for relatives accompanying the patient. Check the official Thai e-Visa medical-treatment guidance and the responsible embassy or consulate; do not rely on older blanket visa-free advice. Visa approval and extensions are decided by the authorities, not Sanpiti.

At Jin Wellbeing, inpatient rehabilitation takes place in a hospital-based setting with 24-hour nursing. Nursing coverage does not mean daily physician examinations.
The individual plan may address walking, arm use, daily living, swallowing and communication according to assessed needs. Confirm the disciplines, session duration, frequency, fees and review schedule in the written plan; therapy intensity is confirmed after assessment and is not guaranteed by the starting rate.
Families receive weekly English progress reports with functional outcome tracking such as the Barthel Index. Authorised relatives receive daily WhatsApp updates during the stay, with information sharing agreed with the patient.

Arabic-speaking coordination and Arabic and English interpreters are available. Book interpretation calls with the coordinator through WhatsApp and confirm timing and any interpretation charges; availability does not mean every therapist speaks Arabic at all times.
Halal meals and therapy scheduling around prayer times are available. Share dietary and religious needs before admission so the individual arrangements can be confirmed.

From ฿65,900/month. Physician fees and physical therapy fees are not included and are billed separately after assessment. This starting rate does not include 2–3 daily therapy sessions or daily physician examinations.
Fees are quoted in Thai baht. International bank transfers and Visa and Mastercard payments are accepted, with official itemised invoices in English for insurers. Confirm payment methods, deposits and cancellation terms in the written quotation.
Sanpiti does not provide direct billing or fax claims. Families pay first and use the receipts and medical reports to seek reimbursement from their insurer; policy approval and reimbursement are the insurer’s decision. Ask your insurer about eligibility, pre-authorisation and required documents before travelling.
Starting rates and cost planningFamily accommodation during the stay
A companion bed in the patient room at Jin Wellbeing costs ฿300 per day, and a private service apartment on the campus costs ฿30,000 per month. These are separate family accommodation charges, not inpatient rehabilitation packages; confirm availability and occupancy terms before travel.
Families who stay in Dubai or Abu Dhabi hotels instead should plan daily transport to the campus and confirm visiting arrangements with the coordinator.

Before discharge, agree the home-care plan, equipment list and caregiver training with the rehabilitation team. An English discharge summary supports handover to the next treating doctor in the UAE and reimbursement documentation.
Monthly online follow-up with the rehabilitation team is available after returning home, along with guidance for a local therapist. Agree the schedule, scope and any charges in the written plan; online follow-up does not replace urgent local medical care.
Choosing care after dischargeHow to compare options fairly
When comparing a local option in the UAE with travelling to Thailand, compare the same items for the same duration: care setting and who provides overnight care, actual therapy minutes, physician review schedule, transport, language support, family lodging and the itemised whole-stay cost.
Do not compare a daily outpatient price with a monthly inpatient starting rate, and do not assume services are included. Ask every provider for a written itemised quotation and treat marketing figures as a starting point for questions, not a decision.
