Post-acute rehabilitation. Assessed before travel.
Sanpiti provides rehabilitation after acute stroke treatment, not emergency stroke treatment. Admission requires medical stability and an individual pre-admission assessment. New or sudden stroke symptoms require emergency medical care.
Your international patient concierge journey
Before you travel
- Send the discharge summary, medication list and available CT/MRI reports through the channel agreed with your coordinator. Initial enquiry forms are for contact details, not medical records.
- A rehabilitation physician reviews the case, with a response within 24 hours. Case review and the written quotation are free; acceptance and the individual treatment plan depend on medical stability, records and clinical assessment.
- Request a free medical visa support letter and case-specific supporting documents. A support letter does not guarantee a visa or fitness to travel.
Airport arrival
- Airport pickup can be arranged from Don Mueang (DMK) or Suvarnabhumi (BKK) for an additional fee.
- Private ambulance transfer with medical staff can be arranged for complex needs, including feeding tubes, tracheostomy or assisted transfers. Clinicians and the transport provider must confirm the required support and price.
- Jin Wellbeing in Rangsit is approximately 25–30 minutes from DMK; traffic and transfer arrangements affect journey time.
On-site family accommodation
- A companion bed in the patient room at Jin Wellbeing costs ฿300 per day. A private service apartment on the campus costs ฿30,000 per month.
- These are separate family accommodation charges, not inpatient rehabilitation packages. Confirm availability, accessibility and occupancy terms before travel.
Interpreters and everyday support
- English and Arabic interpreters are available; book calls with the coordinator through WhatsApp. Confirm timing and any interpretation charges rather than assuming every clinician speaks both languages.
- Halal meals and therapy scheduling around prayer times are available. Share dietary and religious needs before admission.
Insurance and sponsor documents
- The team prepares cost estimates and medical documents for international insurers, embassy medical offices and government sponsors. Confirm their specific documentation requirements.
- Sanpiti does not provide direct billing or fax claims. Families pay Sanpiti first and use receipts and medical reports to seek reimbursement; policy approval is the insurer’s decision.
English medical reports
- Families receive weekly English progress reports with functional outcome scores such as the Barthel Index, and an English discharge summary for the next treating doctor and reimbursement documentation.
- Before discharge, agree the home-care plan, equipment list and caregiver training with the rehabilitation team.
Family updates and online follow-up
- One dedicated coordinator follows each case. Authorised relatives receive daily WhatsApp updates during the stay, with information sharing agreed with the patient.
- Monthly online follow-up with the rehabilitation team is available after returning home, along with guidance for the local therapist. Agree the schedule, scope and any charges in the care plan; online follow-up does not replace urgent local medical care.
Services, availability and separate fees

Before you book your journey
Start with an enquiry about the patient’s current condition, country of departure and proposed stay. The team will explain how to provide medical records through the agreed channel. Do not upload medical records to the initial enquiry form.
Prepare the discharge summary, current medication list, available CT/MRI reports and details of mobility, swallowing, feeding tubes, oxygen and other nursing needs. The receiving team assesses whether the planned care setting is suitable.
Ask the treating hospital about medical stability and fitness to travel. Confirm acceptance, transport needs, availability and an itemised quotation before booking non-refundable travel. Neither an enquiry nor a visa guarantees admission.
Thailand entry requirements — 2026
Non-Thai patients and accompanying travellers entering Thailand through immigration by air, land or sea generally need a Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC). Submit it before entry, within three days before arrival, including the arrival date. A new TDAC is required for each entry, including for children and infants. Airside transit without passing immigration and crew are exceptions.
TDAC registration on the official Immigration Bureau website is free. The TDAC is not a visa and does not establish medical fitness to travel.
Visa requirements depend on nationality, passport type, purpose of travel and intended stay. Thailand revised its visa-exemption and visa-on-arrival schemes effective 15 September 2026. Do not rely on older blanket “60-day visa-free” advice or 2022–2023 entry rules.
For medical treatment, confirm the appropriate category and supporting documents with the responsible Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate. The official e-Visa medical-treatment guidance lists an appointment letter and financial evidence; requirements can vary. Ask Sanpiti which case-specific supporting documents can be supplied, and confirm requirements separately for accompanying relatives. Visa approval and extensions are decided by the authorities, not Sanpiti.
Official TDAC — free registration
Arrival and medical transfers
Discuss arrival at Suvarnabhumi (BKK) or Don Mueang (DMK), or transfer from the treating hospital, before making arrangements. Confirm the destination, vehicle accessibility, escort needs, provider, booking terms and separate cost with the team.
An ordinary airport car may not be suitable for a patient who needs oxygen, suction, assisted transfers or close monitoring. The treating clinicians and transport provider should agree the level of support. Do not assume an ambulance, nurse escort or airport transfer is included in the monthly starting rate.
During the rehabilitation stay
At Jin Wellbeing, inpatient rehabilitation combines a hospital-based setting with 24-hour nursing care and individually assessed rehabilitation goals. Nursing coverage does not mean daily physician examinations.
The plan may address walking and balance, arm use, daily living, swallowing and communication according to assessed needs and available services. Confirm the disciplines, actual session duration, frequency, fees and review schedule in the written plan. Two or three daily sessions are not guaranteed or included in the starting rate.
English and Arabic interpreters can be booked through your coordinator. Weekly English progress reports include functional outcome tracking such as the Barthel Index. Confirm interpretation timing and fees; availability does not mean every therapist speaks English or Arabic at all times.
Inpatient stroke rehabilitation
Family accommodation and everyday needs
At Jin Wellbeing, relatives can stay on-site: a companion bed in the patient room costs ฿300/day, and a private service apartment on the campus costs ฿30,000/month. These are separate family lodging charges, not patient rehabilitation packages. Confirm availability, accessibility, overnight-companion rules and occupancy terms before travel.
Halal meals and therapy scheduling around prayer times are available. Tell the coordinator about dietary, religious and communication needs in advance so the individual arrangements can be confirmed.
Costs and insurance reimbursement
From ฿65,900/month. Physician fees and physical therapy fees are not included and are billed separately after assessment. This starting rate does not include 2–3 daily therapy sessions or daily physician examinations.
Request an itemised quotation covering accommodation and nursing, physician fees, physical therapy, other recommended therapies or procedures, medicines and consumables, transfers, interpretation and family lodging where applicable. Confirm deposits, payment methods, cancellation terms and how changes to the care plan affect the total.
Sanpiti does not provide direct billing or fax claims with insurers. Families pay Sanpiti and receive itemised receipts and medical reports to seek reimbursement themselves. Ask your insurer about eligibility, pre-authorisation, exclusions and required documents before travelling; reimbursement is not guaranteed.
Discharge and the journey home
Discuss discharge goals, caregiver training, a written home programme, medication information, follow-up and records for the next treating team. The length of stay depends on clinical needs, progress and the agreed plan — not a fixed recovery deadline.
For air travel, ask the treating physician and airline about fitness-to-fly documentation, wheelchair assistance, medical equipment and escort requirements. Certificate timing and airline acceptance vary; do not assume one certificate is valid for every airline or journey.
Information, consent and privacy
Ask who is responsible for the care plan and how to discuss alternatives, expected benefits, risks and costs before consenting. Patients and authorised relatives can request clarification, discuss a second opinion and ask how to obtain medical records through the applicable process.
Agree who may receive updates and how records will be shared. Use the enquiry form for initial contact details only; provide sensitive medical records through the channel agreed with the team.

An English discharge summary and home-care plan support handover. Monthly online follow-up is available after returning home; agree scope, schedule and any charges with the team.

Sanpiti is not an emergency stroke treatment service. Post-acute rehabilitation admission requires medical stability, individual assessment and confirmed acceptance before transfer.

The TDAC is not a visa. Official registration is free. Submit before entry within three days before arrival, including the arrival date; confirm exceptions on the Immigration Bureau website.
Which visa should patients and relatives use in 2026?
The correct route depends on nationality, passport, purpose and stay. Check official Thai e-Visa guidance and the responsible embassy or consulate separately for the patient and accompanying relatives. Admission documents do not guarantee visa approval.
